Home: Blueprint of Self
The definition of home can be defined very differently by an array of people. The particularly challenging and unexpected effects of the Covid-19 pandemic have left traditional understandings of home unknown. Before Covid-19, immigrants have left and been displaced from their homes constantly: to escape from violence; a desire for economic prosperity; to work; to move toward a better life. Globally, people address the notion of home through individual experiences and use new approaches to understand the complexity of such a topic.
I present a body of work that explores the idea of ''home'' as a place as well as the idea of ''home'' as an idea or feeling. Each work will represent my personal experiences and learnings related to nature, setting, and physical encounters of home, as well as my personal attitudes toward the idea and feelings of home.
